New Mississippi River Bridge Project

Project Description

The $2.2B New Mississippi River Bridge project created a new gateway between Illinois and Missouri providing better connections to and through St. Louis. The project included a landmark bridge structure, the realignment and reconstruction of Interstate 70 and numerous local roads on both sides of the state line. The project goal to provide needed traffic capacity, improve system linkages and community access, reduce traffic crashes, improve travel times, and enhance economic growth were met.

CORRIDOR: Interstate 70 (I-70): Dedicated Truck Lanes Missouri to Ohio

Project Description

To mitigate the volume of freight movement on I70, this project proposes dedicated and segregated truck lanes along I-70 from the Interstate 435 beltway on the eastern part of Kansas City, Missouri to the Ohio/West Virginia border near Bridgeport, Ohio/Wheeling, West Virginia. Hudson and Associates, LLC, (Hudson) was charged with developing and implementing a communication plan designed to engage key stakeholders in Missouri and southeast Illinois.  Hudson developed media strategies and coordinated briefings and meetings with elected officials, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO’s), Trucking Associations, regional business leaders, transportation partners, and state safety/highway patrol officials.

Delmar Loop Trolley

Project Description

For this $51M, 2.2-mile heritage trolley line that will serve the Delmar Loop district in St. Louis, and University City, Hudson and Associates, LLC (Hudson) is responsible for implementing and managing the public outreach efforts created to engage community stakeholders in the cities of St. Louis and University City. During a two-phase approach to finalize design plans and funding, Hudson facilitated key stakeholder briefings, technical meetings, public hearings, and media strategies designed to inform and garner input from communities and stakeholders potentially impacted by the recommendations. Information gathered assisted the design team in drawing consent for the project and glean consensus moving forward.

Gateway Parking Systems – City of St. Louis

Project Description

Hudson and Associates, LLC (Hudson) is currently providing 90% of the parking meter management and operations support services for the City of St. Louis’ newly integrated intelligent parking systems. In phases, Hudson has removed over ten thousand old mechanical meters and installed over 9,700 SMART meter units that utilize mobile technology and offer multiple payment options.  Hudson developed and implemented current route schedules and is managing meter audits and collections, in addition to safeguarding, transporting, and depositing meter revenue. Hudson provides meter vault security and key control along with investigations, technical repairs, and monitors existing inventory. The Hudson dispatch operations team works in concert with field technicians, supervisors and office staff. Hudson also creates a vehicle “scofflaw” list that is electronically accessed in real time allowing boot enforcement officers to coordinate with dispatch confirming that relevant transactions, payments, and other case dispositions are updated accurately and timely. Hudson provides up to date training to all operations staff on rules and regulations pertinent to providing quality customer service.
